I thought the best way to kick things off would be to properly introduce myself and share the story behind Word for Word Designs — how it started, where the inspiration comes from, and how I found my way into the world of custom wedding invitations and fine art stationery.

I was born and raised in New Jersey — the Jersey Shore, to be exact. While the beach will always feel like home, my professional journey started somewhere you might not expect: high-end restaurants and the hospitality industry.

Since I was a teenager, I worked in fast-paced, detail-driven environments where presentation, service, and experience were everything. Those years taught me how much the smallest details can elevate a moment — something that still heavily influences the way I approach custom wedding invitations and stationery design today.

Working in hospitality naturally led me into events, and eventually weddings. Over the years, I worked countless weddings, bridal showers, engagement parties, and celebrations of all kinds. While I loved the energy of event days, I always found myself drawn to the details — the décor, the place settings, and especially the stationery.

I admired the beautiful custom wedding invitations and paper goods couples brought into their celebrations and remember thinking more than once, I could probably do that myself. That curiosity was the spark that started it all.

What began as a small Etsy shop quickly grew into something much bigger. As more couples reached out looking for thoughtful, elevated designs, Word for Word Designs evolved into a full-service custom stationery studio specializing in fine art stationery and custom wedding invitations.

Today, I design bespoke wedding invitations and day-of paper goods for luxury New Jersey weddings as well as destination weddings around the world. Every suite is created with intention, focusing on timeless design, meaningful details, and a personalized experience from start to finish.

During my very first year in business, I took a leap of faith and moved to Spain solo for a year — a lifelong dream of mine. While continuing to run my stationery business remotely, I traveled throughout Europe, soaking in historic architecture, art, and centuries-old craftsmanship.

That experience completely shaped my design style and sparked my love for fine art stationery with an old-world, European feel. You’ll see those influences throughout my work — from typography and layout to texture and paper choices — whether I’m designing New Jersey wedding invitations or stationery for destination weddings abroad.
